And another thing about psychology…

Almost the entire history of experimental psychology is built on finding out what humans can do and how they work in the absence of any context (which is experimentally removed for control purposes).

But… if we are actually context-intense organisms, and that is the very way that we function in our environments and worlds, then all this research does not really tell us much of importance.  Experimental designs are not useful for context-intense systems of any sort.

And.. we need to be thinking about the brain as a context-intense responding ‘machine‘, not a context-free processor of context-free ‘information’ (whatever that is).
